LAS Probe is a free utility to examine log data held in one or more LAS files.  It can read LAS 1.2, 2.0 and 3.0 files as defined by the Canadian Well Log Society (www.cwls.org/las). It can search a directory and all it's subdirectories for all LAS files and then present the information in a table.  By simply clicking on any curve name  a display of that curve is generated in a review window.

LAS Probe is written in Java. This version is for Windows platforms, but LASProbe should be able to run on any system with a suitable Java Virtual Machine.
We have an installer for Debian based LINUX systems (e.g. Ubuntu, Mint, Knoppix, etc) - if you would like to try this, or if you would like to run LASProbe on a different platform, please contact us to discuss your requirements.

System Requirements

• PC running Microsoft Windows

• Java Virtual Machine installed (JRE 1.8 or later). If a suitable JVM is not found when you run LASProbe, you will be prompted to download it (for free) from Oracle's web site.
